You just know that whenever syn start a new series, at some point, he will accidentaly find a high level giga and just redirect the plans for the episode to tame it

It would make sense for the megapithecus to be a mini boss on the lost island map

It's like they say, you can lead a giga to water, but you can't make it drown

I recently tamed a giga with a door frame trap I used metal and was a square of nine foundations with door frames 3 high and ramps to between 2nd and 3rd (gigas can't step over 3 high minimum I found). Just after I picked up the giga a rex walked in to it so the trap I made works for multiple dinos

Maewing is such a good tame. As soon as I unlocked the saddle I took off for where they are at. And the fact they can drop different type of eggs is amazing.

Syn the sinomacrops can boost your movement speed in the water, you should try it out and show us it is pretty cool

I love how this came out an hour ago and I was stuck tending Giga babies. 😂😂 Never try and raise 7 baby Gigas at once. It’s painful.

the sino (and glide suit) do that fall thing if you aren't going fast enough... the strange thing with the sino is the animation looks like you're going forward, but really you're going down

the best place for Thyla's is the desert region around the rocky Right section of the desert. Staying clear of the Redwoods is a bonus

Hey, your divebombing Sino is because of sprinting just like the glider suit skin. Sprinting on takeoff, lose forward momentum usually to vertical then go to glide and you dont have enough speed so you stall out

So I experienced a pretty interesting bug on my Solo Server:
The max level a Dino can spawn is 150. Well, I found a wild level 435 Rex, tamed out to be lvl 730. Needless to say I have my breeding Rex now

If arthos have turret mode you can maybe put a few at the front of your base.

i mean when Aberration came out Rock drakes would get stuck in the walls and couldnt aggro you, so Magmasaurs getting bugged is no big surprise

From my experience you always need to be within render until the giga runs out of stamina to drown it

It's funny how dinos work, sometimes they'll drop on your base cause they feel like it. Or not even acknowledge your existence as a living organism.

Shockingly, a 168 Giga is not the beastliest beast I've seen on this map. There's a 365 Rex on my map just north of where you found it, on the other side of those hills near the lake. I've got it trapped in Behemoth Gateways and I'm farming like hell for when I finally go to tranq/tame it.

been loving the series so far, it would be amazing to see a perfect mutation amargasaurus before the end of the series

Hi Syntac, long time lurker first time poster. About the Sino diving to the ground problem: they seem to have two gliding modes. One which locks them at their altitude (I have no idea what the button is on PC since I only play console) and the second where u can go up and down gliding. The crashing into the ground only seems to happen in the second mode. When their altitude is locked even looking down with the camera wont do anything other than give u a great view 😋. Glad to see you are still the expert at the traditional Giga trap. I've always had to use the new style metal circle of triangle foundations.
Outside of Extinction, Gigas are excellent rides for running Genesis Part 1. Can solo most missions and generally good for getting around on the Volcano, Lunar and Bog maps. Extremely fun to be attacked by an insect swarm then single bite them out of existence.

Basilisks live on the side of the volcano. When you exited the magmasaur cave and turned left, right in that area. I've also seen them close to the red obelisk.

Spinos are extremely hard to find on Lost Island unfortunately Dx But check every swamp area you can, they're out there ;o; (That swamp you were near the cave at the meadows (58.90 - 72.30 ?? if the coords are fixed), was the best place to find them I believe)
Thylas are in the desert biome in the flat lands / grasslands! I think they added them there to act similar to the sabers.
Basilisks are in the volcano biome, you are correct on that Syntac!
I enjoy this series so much and it's helped a lot with my own playthrough on my friend's server ☺ Thanks so much for all the content and info you've provided!

4:42 I’ve found that when “it’s doing it” if you press the sprint button for me L3 for instance on PS4 it resets the Sino. I think the Sino has 2 modes 1. where you don’t dive down and can glide 2. You press sprint again and can dive bomb and pull out like a Griffin for speed. So when you dive bomb just press sprint and it should level you back out. Love the vids as always man!! Keep Rockin!🤘😎

Trapping gigas and killing them with an amargasaurus is both an efficient and fun way to farm the giga hearts

Don't know why but People Are Just Scared Seeing a Giga🤣.W hy they forget That Gigas Don't attack Tamed Creatures and Mounted Survivors until You Attack him.

I wished they kind of update the giga walking cause that sliding Doesn’t look too great

Oh God. If you're hunting basilisk bring the snow owl. The heat vision helps them stand out better when they're buried just because the lighting is so weird on this map. This was one of my favorite maps but it really doesn't leave you anything to do after you beat the three levels of the end boss. Excuse me while I cry in solo play.

The part you go to after drowning the giga is a pretty great spot to farm, I have a base up there, and there are always alphas, raptors Carnos and alpha rex, the giga spawn that you found, there's a gem cave, plus r variants spawn more on that island also its a griffin spawn aswell its actually a really good spot to be if you don't mind the danger

The way the sino works is if you’re not in the mode that keeps you flying and instead in diving mode, when not angled downward you plummet. Hope this helps

I always use a really weird trap for gigas
it always works even though it doesn't look like it should (it's the one with triangle roofs) and it's also really low risk

these creatures, mods, crypods.. so easy. remember the old days, thylo was my thing

40 videos and this series is over and that’s from watching every one of your series these never last long at least the good ones

I think the exploring on foot is why "no flyers" servers exist and yes not using flyers makes the game way more adventurous.. yes its great to fly and all but it gives you so much power and stuff. Being on the ground makes you feel vulnerable.

That big island is where I had my first giga scare. I rely on flyers quite a bit, and even my high level wyverns still need breaks for stamina with the absolute size of this map. I stopped for stam and glanced away for a couple minutes. When I looked back I saw a tail not too far from me. My first thought was a rex, which I was looking for. I spyglassed it, and it was a giga! I flew off a bit to avoid getting trapped under it. Taking another look, it was a 168! He's still out there, and I plan to tame him as soon as I gather enough narcotics.

Hey syn at 25:52 right when you were "calling it a day" if you keep going down that beach literally just a few more feet there's a basilisk spawn nearby I think. Idk I always see one there since I'm in that area a lot

I'm having PTSD in the volcano section. Went over the other day and my argy got electrocuted by a lightning wyvern I never saw. It was a sad day and now I'm stuck with a Pteranodon again

I’m not sure if he figured it out but the “sinomacrops glitch” 4:45 is actually him not sprinting while he is gliding I’ve been testing it and if you do not sprint you plummet hope this helps someone 😅

Syn you're as bad as I am about finding high level creatures. "Do I need it?" "No" "But its high/max level, I must have it" LOL
But yeah, Gigas really are quite useless for PvE. Their big, cumbersome and can't even use their wild bleed effect. Only place they'll be useful outside of what you mentioned, will be Fjordur when it comes out.

If your tame's inventory is full and you have your tame auto loot on kill, the items are picked up, but vanish. Since there is no space.

I was playing on Val and found a 174 giga in the snow area. I had the same "oh sh*t, impromptu giga tame I guess!" moment lol

Nature: we have titans gigasss
Us: we have a gut with cyan hair and flying perry

Did anyone noticed that when he was breeding monkeys in 27th episode there was a hidden joke at 5:40 or some. Bassicaly there was 11 monkey just hangin and breeding. And Syntac went in to show mutations for hp and melee and said "Oh, hang on" and i thought that was funny

I had to do 5 dino wipes to find 2 gigas, max lvl 32... Syntac finds 3 in 5mins :D

FYI, You can find tons of Thylas over in the rocky terrain portion of the desert right next to the dunes.

The giga spawns are really high on this map. I found three basically in a pack. Luckily they were low levels but still

Syntac you should make insane melee gigas on the cluster series and have lots and LOTS of mutations into the melee and try and kill something big with them!
(Apologies if you have already done this if you already have mabye do more mutations than last time if possible! I think it would be a cool vid if not gigas maybe fully mutated dodo army?😂

After this series finishes maybe you could try joining a public server and trying to complete the game on that?

After this series maybe make another where you take every creature that you can

One time I was playing ark on the island and was exploring when I see a giga,I never tamed one so I decided to try and knock it out,so I take a look at the level and I SEE ITS LEVEL 140,keep in mind that my max level for my server is 150 so I think it was a good find,so I tried to knock it out and almost had my argy killed so then I see a quetzal and I knock it out and it got KILLED BY THE GIGA!(I don’t like this story but I also like it at the same time!)

A hot spot for thylas is in the middle of the desert biome. Just on the western edge of the mountainous area. Approx 85, 62.

I feel like the Magmasaur glitch is definitely a turning problem because the ones with direct LOS agro normally. the ones that are kinda to the side or turned around glitch out and don't move. Like they are trying to turn around but can't.

I'm gonna be an absolute pain the butt now and say that ARK's biggest carnivore is the Tuso 🙂 It's absolutely irrelevant and not important, but pointing out non-existing mistakes is one of comment section's (and life's) biggest blessings, so yes.

Somebody please tell the guy that has been playing this game for years that nothing attacks a giga in the wild and he doesn’t need to kill every Dino in the area lol

I've seen a few basilisk on the volcano beach and even the wyvern trench or just outside of it.

@Syntac your trap, the metal gates around a giga helped me tame one

There’s more than one Magmasaur cave, like not to far from the other and it’s bigger with two entrances

Technically, the biggest carnivore in ARK is the Astrocetus.
Or the Titans, if you wanna count that.

There is two titan spawns close to the snow owl hill near the geysers and the meadows if you wanted to use your giga for that 👍

Near the wyvern tench on the volcanos side is where I’ve found the basilisks

I found a level 798 Rex in the area he found the Giga. My max level is also 180, so it threw me off so hard, lol.

Thylacoleos are in the Desert biome. I found high level ones as well

Ragnarok has an extra artifact too. The one in the redwoods tree is not used either.
